About Our Company
GENRE Professional Sdn Bhd is registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), specializing in Electrical & Mechanical (M&E) consultancy services and renewable energy solutions. The name "GENRE" is a combination of two words which is “Generation” and “Renewable”, reflecting our specialization in Power Generation and Renewable Energy. The letters in "GENRE" also symbolize our commitment to GREEN and ENERGY initiatives.
We specialize in a range of renewable energy solutions, including solar, biogas, and biomass. We provide comprehensive project management and consultancy services covering from preliminary design, detailed design, work monitoring during installation, liaison with utility service provider i.e. TNB, SESB, authority submission, Operation Manual, installation, until testing and pre-commissioning test towards Initial Operation Date (IOD) and Commercial Operation Date (COD) and calculation & study report. Our expertise in renewable energy sectors allow us to offer tailored and goal-oriented solutions to meet the unique needs of client.

Ir. Ho Chee Wai is a registered Malaysia and ASEAN Professional Engineer, specializing in electrical engineering in consultancy industry. With determination and the passion to provide service to public safety & interest, Ir. Ho passed the Professional Competency Examination (PCE) on his first attempt, earning the prestigious title of Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) in 2022.
- Achieved PEPC milestone within just 10 years of entering the engineering field, he continues to serve the community with excellence and dedication.
- 13 Years of experience in M&E Consulting field include design, implementation and contracting for Electrical Building Services of various types of buildings from specialised buildings such as Renewable Energy, Electrical Interconnection System, infrastructure development & lowrise to highrise buildings.
His exposure includes large scale Electrical System design for various type of buildings include Commercial & Residential from Low to high rise buildings, Industrial Factories, Mixed Development, Process Plants, Power Plant, Integrated Control Centre, Renewable Energy Power Plants, Community Facilities Buildings and etc. At the same time, his role also includes for Project Management, Contract Administration, Site Supervision & Management and etc.

My 10-week internship at GENRE Professional Sdn Bhd has been an incredibly rewarding and fruitful experience. Throughout this period, I was given the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on exposure that went beyond what I had learned in university. I’m particularly grateful for the chance to immerse myself in solar design, which was both challenging and insightful.
One of the highlights of my internship was working on the design and calculations for solar power plants. I had the opportunity to calculate parameters for a solar plant, create detailed single-line diagrams (SLD), and adjust designs based on project limitation. These tasks required me to apply both theoretical knowledge and critical thinking, helping me develop problem-solving skills in real engineering scenarios.
I’m grateful for the mentorship and support I received throughout my internship, especially from Mr. Ken and other engineers. Their guidance not only helped me complete my tasks but also fostered an environment where I could ask questions and learn from industry experts. I’m also thankful for the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks that ranged from solar design to lightning risk assessment and voltage drop calculations, making my internship a holistic learning experience.
Overall, my internship at GENRE Professional Sdn Bhd has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. It has solidified my interest in renewable energy, and I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge I’ve gained to future endeavors.
